Today I went to GodSpeak Calvary Chapel in Newberry Park.  Rand Paul was a guest speaker.  Now here is a man that I could vote for...and he is considering running in 2016.

The church video-taped the talk.  I have embedded the video below if you would like to watch it.

I hope no one is offended by Pastor Rob's comments about the gay community. This man is a very loving individual and basically has a philosophy many of us have when we talk politics...don't tread on me and I won't tread on you.

My opinion about the gay community has changed significantly since I have talked with others. I do believe that we need to love all of our brothers and sisters. We need to respect their rights, just as we hope that they will likewise respect ours. Just because there is a difference in opinion does not mean that individuals have to be enemies. We are one family and it is only when there is love that there can be peace.

A Day of Support for Bradley Manning

My fellow activist (Donald Kronos) and I went to a gathering of activists at the Federal Building in Los Angeles today.  We were talking to the public about Bradley Manning and how he deserves a medal of honor for what he did.  His court-martial starts on Monday, 6/3/2013.  May God be with this brave young man for standing up for what was right.

A few days ago some very serious protests started in Turkey.  The people were allegedly peaceful until the police became very abusive.  Many people have been seriously injured.  None of this would have to happen if the corrupt political activities would stop and the politicians would listen to what the people want.  It is all very similar to the Occupy movement, which I have summarized as being about restoring humanity and ending political corruption.  Will this ever happen?  I pray for it every night.  I believe it is going to be up to mankind to decide what the future will hold.
